Phil Jones offers professional training to rural and outback photographic shops and pharmacies with a 'photo kiosk' to provide those businesses with accurate knowledge and information, so as to encourage their clientele to improve their skills and thus increase their utilisation of the shop's facilities
Phil Jones has had a life-long interest in photography. Since the early 1960s he has much experience in Camera Clubs in both Melbourne and Canberra, and has exhibited his work at both local & National Exhibition levels. In 2008 Phil held a one-man exhibition showing panorama photographs from his 2007-2008 travels through outback Australia.
He has been an adult-education lecturer in Photographic Techniques since the mid 70s while developing a number of course streams for use in colleges around Canberra. The Learn Digital Photography courses he now offers are based on the two courses he has conducted at the adult education campus of the Canberra College (A.C.T.) for the past few years.
In addition to the above, Phil and his partner, Alayne Russell have been running escorted RV tours for Australians since 2006, now concentrating on tours of interest to amateur photographers. Each Photographers' Tag Along Tour is co-ordinated to travel via a mixture of main highways, secondary country roads, and occasionally outback isolated roads. While gravel roads in country areas are often hard to avoid, no 4wd / 'off-road' travel is undertaken.
